GRIZZ is a unique and intelligent working-breed mix, made up of approximately 25% each of Great Pyrenees, Anatolian Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, and Cattle Dog. She brings together the loyalty, independence, and drive of true livestock guardian and herding breeds, and is looking for a home that understands and appreciates those traits.

GRIZZ has been brought into our adoption program due to a prior bite incident involving a child. Because of this, she is seeking an adult-only home with experienced handlers who can provide clear structure, leadership, and an environment suited to her needs.

Temperament & Compatibility

• Does well with other dogs

• Cat-friendly

• Comfortable around livestock, including chickens, goats, and horses

• Thrives in outdoor, open environments
  
  Training & Abilities
  GRIZZ is highly trained and knows a wide range of commands, including advanced obedience and directional cues. She is responsive, capable, and excellent off-leash in appropriate settings. She enjoys having a job and engaging both mentally and physically.

Exercise & Environment Needs
This is not a sedentary dog—GRIZZ requires regular exercise and purpose. Without proper outlets, her energy can build into frustration. She would do best in:

• A home with land, acreage, or a farm setting

• An active lifestyle with daily structure and engagement

• A working environment or consistent tasks

Ideal Home
GRIZZ will thrive with:

• An experienced dog owner, preferably familiar with livestock guardian or working breeds

• A home without children

• Someone who can provide structure, boundaries, and continued training
